EPI Sakhalin

EPI Sakhalin is the leader of the Sakhalin Development Consortium that was created to participate in the Sakhalin oil and gas development projects. A key component of these projects is the Product-Sharing Agreement (PSA) that was signed between the Russian government, the Sakhalin region administration and investors. It calls for up to 70% of Russian local content (value added) in combined Russian — international offers for services. The consortium aims to satisfy these provisions by delivering world-class products and systems from combined Russian and international teams with maximum utilization of Russian local know-how, resources, presence and experience.
The Consortium's foreign members specialize in working in seismically unstable conditions.

The Consortium’s defining characteristics are:

  • Supply capabilities: extensive expertise in both Russian and Western equipment and parts.
  • PSA Provision: the Consortium satisfies the main requirement of participation in the Sakhalin oil and gas development of having no less than 70% Russian participation.
  • Excellent warranty and post-warranty terms.
  • Experience: combined, the Consortium’s members developed over 5000 projects, have over 1000 engineers on staff and spent more than 50 years working in Russia.
